Speed up your rescue with HeroMover®
HeroMover, a rescue initiation tool, was designed and engineered to ease the effort of removing a downed firefighter from a hazardous environment. Because of its simple, lightweight design, it can be part of the entry team’s cache of equipment. In the event a firefighter needs to be rescued, their teammates now have the ability to be successful in dragging them to safety. They have an incredible advantage of simply adding a small set of wheels to the victim, HeroMover. The rescue is much faster with significantly reduced air consumption, increasing the entire team’ survivability.

Simply attach HeroMover to an SCBA to save a fallen firefighter or first responder with this patented, high quality, life-saving device.
About Us
Heromover’s concept and design started in 2006 in my home garage. I felt we needed a better way to make our rescues easier. I hand made the first protype of a rescue device with wheels. My 11-year-old daughter, while wearing flip flops, was able to drag me around somewhat effortlessly. I was wearing full combat gear and weighed about 225lbs. I knew I had found a solution.
Historically, when a firefighter goes down in an IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) environment, we train to drag them to safety. Unfortunately, this effort is extremely difficult, if not impossible for us to accomplish. I believed there was a better way.
When we enter a large building, it becomes more and more difficult to accomplish our goals the further in we get.
Over the years, I have refined the device to simply attach
to the cylinder of an SCBA. It easily snaps on and provides a wheeled platform that greatly reduces the friction of dragging. All other systems remain the same:
The difference is, we carry Heromover with us on initial
entry. When needed, call Mayday, activate RIT/RIC, and the rescue begins with the team inside. They will now be able to move to safety faster than ever before. Because the effort has been reduced, air consumption by all team members is less which will improve everyone’s survivability.
Quality training, pre-fire planning, teamwork, and passion for what we do makes us better public servants. I believe we can make a huge impact in our communities by being lifelong students of the craft.
